Dog Training options at Scruffys

Add a little training to your daycare day
Daycare and Train
Led by a qualified trainer, this program offers a more structured version of our regular daycare day. Dogs are part of a smaller, focused group that follows a thoughtfully planned schedule of training-based activities, supervised play, and guided rest periods.
And the best part?
Each dog receives an individualised 1-on-1 training session during the day, tailored to their specific needs and skill level. This allows us to work on targeted behaviours — such as recall, drop, stay, focus, or polite manners — and helps reinforce learning in a real-world, distraction-filled environment.

One on One training
Behaviour Session
Our one-on-one training sessions are great for training you to train your dog. Meet with one of our qualified trainers who will guide you through any behavioural problems your dog may be having. These are done onsite at Scruffys unless it is a problem that needs to be done in your home environment/a dedicated environment eg. Neigbourhood, coffee shop, your local streets etc. (off-site of Scruffy's incur and additonal fee of $50

A walk worth sniffing
Enrichment Walk
Sensory-Focused Outings with Added Fun and Mental Stimulation
Our Enrichment Walk Sessions go beyond the standard walk — they’re designed to engage your dog’s senses, stimulate their brain, and support their overall wellbeing.
Each session takes your dog to a location chosen for its variety of smells, sights, sounds, and textures — think nature trails, open fields, or quiet parks. We move at your dog’s pace, allowing plenty of time to sniff, explore, and decompress.
But the experience doesn’t stop there — we also include purposeful enrichment activities throughout the walk.

We Train, You Maintain
Loose Lead Bootcamp
5-Session Day Training Package
Struggling with a dog who pulls like a freight train — but don’t have the time to train? We get it. That’s why we’ve designed our Loose Lead Bootcamp for busy dog owners who want calmer, more enjoyable walks without needing to attend every session.

Helping Dogs Feel Safer Around Wheels
Wheel Wise
5-Session Behaviour Support Package
Does your dog bark, lunge, chase, or cower at the sight of bikes, prams, scooters, or skateboards? You're not alone — many dogs struggle with wheeled triggers. Whether it’s a burst of excitement or a reaction rooted in fear, this kind of behaviour can be stressful for both dogs and their humans.
WheelWise is a 5-session support package designed to begin the process of desensitising and building positive associations around wheels.

Grooming & Touch Confidence Training
Calm for Care
A specialised desensitisation program to help dogs feel safe, calm, and cooperative with handling, grooming, and routine care.
Does your dog shy away from nail clipping, flinch at brushing, or become stressed at the sight of grooming tools? You're not alone — many dogs struggle with being handled for routine care. That’s why we’ve created Calm for Care, a gentle and structured training package designed to build your dog’s confidence and comfort around grooming, touch, and handling.

We Train the Trick
Trick Training Consultation
Want your dog to learn a cool new trick — without having to train it yourself? Whether it’s something simple like roll over or beg, or more advanced like dunking balls in a basket, riding a skateboard, or fetching specific items, this is where we start.
Our Trick Training Consultation is a private, trainer-led session designed to assess your dog’s learning potential, motivation, and suitability for the trick you have in mind. You don’t need to attend — we’ll work directly with your dog to see what’s possible.
